Now that you have new and clean clothes, there are some important things to remember when drying them. It is important to choose the right temperature for drying to avoid shrinkage and damage to clothing fibers. But first, do not forget to get the clothes out of the washing machine immediately to prevent the formation of unpleasant odors. Once the tub has drained for the last time, press the garment while it is still in the tub to eject water – don’t squeeze the fibers, which can cause them to stretch or tear.

Hang or fold clothes as soon as they dry to avoid wrinkles. Fill a small tub or basin with water at the recommended temperature on the care label. You may need more detergent if you are manually washing a large item or several.

Be sure to use warm water, as hot water can reduce the elasticity of your socks and affect their fit. Not all clothes can be thrown into the washing machine. For delicate items or clothing labels with the symbol “hand wash”, follow these simple step-by-step instructions for hand washing clothes.

Synthetic fabrics generally dry faster than natural fibers, and quick-drying fabrics include polyester, nylon, and other synthetic fabrics. Synthetic blends combine natural fibers with synthetic fibers. I arrive at the laundry at 7 am, I throw a bag in front of each machine to “claim my claim” and, as I said, I check the bathtubs, add detergent, carry quarters, and throw in the laundry. Items such as thin underwear, sweaters, and silk blouses often retain their color and shape better when hand-washed. However, silk clothing should not be washed by hand if it is brightly colored, patterned or dark, as dyes can bleed.
